On the challenge with finishing in Thursday’s overtime loss:
We just kept going the same way. We spent quite a bit of time in their zone, but we just couldn’t finish it off.
On what the team will take from Thursday’s game:
Just try to take the positives out and build on stuff that can be improved and just come back on Saturday and have a strong game again.
On whether Cory Schneider took a point away from the Kings:
No. We’ve got to bear down on our chances. Yeah, he made some good saves, but we’ve got to make it a little bit harder on him.
On three-on-three overtime:
It was lots of ice. I haven‘t been in that position in a long time. Not that you’re feeling your way into it, but you’ve got to see what’s out there, when to go, when not to go. I just made a bad play on the blue line, and they had the rush. It’s not the smartest thing to do.
On the “problem” of not being able to score on Thursday:
I don’t know what the problem was. I mean, we didn’t put the puck in the net. It’s as simple as that. We’ve hit posts, we’ve hit knobs, we’ve hit edge of the pads. The bottom line, it’s not getting the job done.
