As gained from the lines and pairings at the morning skate, the Los Angeles Kings are poised to make a pair of lineup changes.
Tanner Pearson may replace Jordan Nolan in the lineup and make his NHL debut in Game 3. Darryl Sutter said that Pearson would be in should the team decide to roll with 12 forwards instead of seven defenseman; judging from the manner in which Pearson answered questions in front of his locker stall, that appears to be a relatively safe bet.
Keaton Ellerby will rejoin the lineup, potentially in place of Alec Martinez. If the Kings decide to utilize seven defensemen, Martinez would likely stay in. More on these potential changes during the lineup notes post later today.
