-Kyle Clifford and Jarret Stoll will not play due to injury. Anthony Stewart and Tanner Pearson have been participating in morning skates and would be the next options should the Kings lose another forward in the time it takes Clifford and Stoll to recover. Rob Scuderi joined Slava Voynov on the Kings’ second defensive pairing as the game progressed; it is still possible that Jake Muzzin could skate with Voynov and Alec Martinez with Scuderi. “He can play both sides,” Darryl Sutter said of Martinez. “We really don’t have pairs. It’s more of our situation reads.”
Projected Lines – San Jose

Patrick Marleau – Logan Couture – Joe Pavelski
Jame Sheppard – Scott Gomez – Tommy Wingels
Andrew Desjardins – Tim Kennedy – Bracken Kearns

Marc-Edouard Vlasic – Justin Braun
Scott Hannan – Brad Stuart

-In Raffi Torres’ absence, Joe Pavelski is likely to slot in as the right wing opposite Patrick Marleau on Logan Couture’s line. Tim Kennedy, whose only playoff appearance this season was in Game 2 of the Vancouver series, is expected to join Andrew Desjardins and Bracken Kearns on the fourth line. He had two goals and no assists in 13 regular season games. Forward Martin Havlat and defenseman Jason Demers remain doubtful. Forward Adam Burish is out for the series with an upper-body injury.
