On playing with energy after he scored the game-tying goal:
“It’s hard to explain, but every time you’re going through a drought – of 20? 19? I don’t even know – and when you get that one, you feel about a hundred pounds lighter. So I felt pretty good after that.”
On the resiliency shown in the win:
“I mean, you can’t quit. You’ve got to play right until the last buzzer, and after the second we said it might take us 19 and a half to get the equalizer, and then win it in OT. But fortunately enough, we got the two pretty quick, and we held the lead. Now it’s all tied up and a best-of-three going into St. Louis.”
On the team scoring more tonight than the first three games combined:
“Yeah, it seems like it was a high scoring affair compared to the scores. But that’s the way it goes sometimes. We’re happy we got the win, but flying out tomorrow we’ve got to get re-focused.”
On heading into St. Louis tied at two:
“I think if you look at tonight’s game, it was probably the best game we played, but we still believe we can push a little more. The confidence is there. We got down into a hole, two-nothing, and we climbed out of it. So now it’s a matter of winning the next one, just like it is in any other situation.”
