On the challenges presented in the game:
“Our passing was a result of a lot of their goals. Not making it tape-to-tape makes it hard on guys. Then we had them going back in our zone. They get a turnover and they find ways to score goals. We just weren’t very sharp coming into the third.”
On Quick’s performance in the first two periods:
“Yeah, he was great. Even if you look at the goals they scored in the third, I mean there’s not much you can do on a lot of them. We let our goalie down for sure tonight. He’s one of those guys that’s been there for us over the last three years. Like I said, we’ve got to not let that happen again.”
On not being able to dwell on a loss at this point of the season:
“It’s the hard part about the season and the great thing about the season is we have an opportunity to get back on track right away. That’s what our focus will be tomorrow.”
On if there’s concern of Tuesday’s issues seeping into Thursday’s game:
“I think it’s up to us both individually and collectively to make sure it doesn’t seep into [Thursday]. That’s our job in here, to be ready to go next game. That was probably one of the worst periods we played all year, and like I said, we have an opportunity to rebound and come back, and it’s important for us to do that.”
