Jonathan Quick’s postgame thoughts…
(on what he thought when he saw the red light go on in overtime…)
QUICK: “Just a big relief. It was just a big relief. They worked really hard. You’ve got to tip your cap to them. They worked really hard, and made us earn it. Mike Smith kept them in there at times. They scored some timely goals. It’s a good team. We’re fortunate to be done right now. That could have gone either way. We could be going back to L.A. for Game 6, but we’re not. So we’re looking forward to seeing who we’re going to play next week.’’
(on the intensity of overtime…)
QUICK: “You’re just trying to focus on what you have to do. Things are happening so quick. You really don’t have time to let that stuff creep into your head. I think everybody did a great job of just working and rolling the lines and sticking to what we do best. We created a ton of chances there in overtime, and as I said earlier, Mike Smith made a bunch of saves to keep them going. We were fortunate enough to get a bounce there at the end. It’s a great feeling.’’
