RICHARDS: “That was nice to get. I just wanted to pick a shot and go down there and do it. Luckily it went in. It was a big weight off the shoulders.’’

RICHARDS: “Both (goalies) made a bunch of big saves. Quickie held his ground there on a couple, and (Emery) made a couple big saves too. Like I said, it was a big two points for us. It was nice to get the win, and obviously we need them as much as possible right now.’’

RICHARDS: “Quickie made a bunch of big saves when we needed them most, and Razor made a bunch of big saves for them in the first period. It was a tight-checking game. We had to earn every inch, and luckily we came out with two points.’’

RICHARDS: “We’re confident in both of the goaltenders. Quickie’s shootout record speaks for itself. We have confidence going in there, because we’ve had some success with it over the past couple years. He’s obviously done well, so we have confidence.
