Saturday practice update

Today was a more unusual day than most for the Kings on the road. Typically, during a road trip, after a game there’s a mad dash to get to the airport, get in the air and get to the next city. Last night, the Kings stayed in Detroit, because they wanted to practice today and the desired ice time was not available in Chicago. Because of the day off between games, and the proximity of the cities, the Kings stayed in the Detroit hotel, practiced at Joe Louis Arena — the Red Wings are playing in Nashville today — then flew to Chicago.

It was a non-eventful practice, with no line-combination changes. More notes and quotes to come…
