The Key Three: Jan. 15

Three days ago, if someone had said the Kings would take three out of a possible four points in Alberta over the weekend, would you have bet on a win in Calgary and a (overtime) loss in Edmonton? Probably not. These are odd times for the Kings, who continue to get points in almost every game but still leave the sense that they’re not where they need to be. Games like yesterday’s only further that thought. Playing games on back-to-back nights is never easy, but the Kings were going through the motions for the first two periods, and because of that, they only got one point instead of two.
