Jonathan Quick’s postgame thoughts…
(on shutting out the high-powered Blackhawks…)
QUICK: “That took four lines, six D and a goalie. That was a big effort by everybody. I thought we were outplaying them there in the first two periods. We were getting the better of them, because of which we jumped out to a two-goal lead there. You know that when you come into this building, it’s only a matter of time before they put pressure on you and create chances. That’s a talented group over there. We were fortunate to weather the storm and get out of here with two points.’’
(on the Kings’ penalty kill…)
QUICK: “We’ve been doing a real good effort on the PK in the past couple weeks. It’s all about the mentality that we’re going into the kill with. Guys are competing, guys are battling, and that’s what it takes to kill off penalties.’’
