The St. Louis Blues were certainly not the kindest of opponents to the Kings last season. The Kings went 0-4 against the Blues, were outscored by a total margin of 15-6 and scored more than one goal in only one of the four games. The Blues are off to an up-and-down start, as they’ve gone loss-win-loss-win-loss in their first five games. Per usual, though, Terry Murray said the Kings’ focus would be more on their own play than on what the Blues are up to…
MURRAY: “Our own execution, right now, is very important. We need to come back home here, after this start away, with awareness that it’s going to be difficult, emotionally, to get yourself to that level of intensity that you have to have. We talk about this all the time, with our first game back after a long road trip, that that game is hard, emotionally. You’ve got to find a way to dig down very deep and help your teammates and push each other up and support each other throughout the game and get it done with the right level of intensity and compete.’’
