Well, here we go. A reminder that today’s season opener begins at 10 a.m. Pacific time and can be seen on Versus and heard on 1150-AM and affiliates, with Nick Nickson and Daryl Evans. As we slept here in Stockholm, the Kings announced overnight that defenseman Jake Muzzin had been activated from injured reserve and loaned to Manchester of the AHL. The Rangers feature new No. 1 center Brad Richards, the summer’s big free-agent catch who turned down an offer from the Kings to go to New York.
