Hockey’s Future ranks Kings No. 1

The folks over at the Hockey’s Future website — www.hockeysfuture.com — have released their spring “organization rankings,” and the Kings are ranked No. 1. The site lists the Kings’ top prospects, in order, as Brayden Schenn, Jonathan Bernier, Andrei Loktionov, Tyler Toffoli and Derek Forbort. Hard to quibble too much, although I would say that Bernier has “graduated” from the ranks of prospects, given that he has spent a full season in the NHL, and if we’re looking at top defensemen, I’m not sure I would elevate Forbort over a player such as Viatcheslav Voynov. But that’s certainly fair debate. You can check out the rankings by clicking here.
