Doughty postgame quotes

Drew Doughty’s postgame thoughts…

(on the win…)
DOUGHTY: “It’s huge. To beat two of the top teams in the East like that, back-to-back, in two afternoon games, it’s tough to play and be able to do that. It shows how good of a team we can be, day in and day out, and we just need to continue that.”

(on shutting down the Flyers after they scored the goal…)
DOUGHTY: “Usually, when we’re up by a goal in the third, we kind of sit back and let them take it to us. They obviously, maybe, a little bit outplayed us in the third, but we were still trying to create opportunities. We had some chances and their goalie came up with some big saves, so I think that was the difference. We didn’t sit back and let them play against us.”

(on Jonathan Quick’s play…)
DOUGHTY: “He’s awesome. He’s been awesome for pretty much the whole year. He’s a great goalie. We all love him as a guy in the room as well. We’re really happy for him to get that shutout.”
