Kevin Westgarth will be back in the Kings’ lineup tonight, after being a healthy scratch from the previous six games. It’s worth noting that the Penguins have accumulated the most penalty minutes (269) in the NHL this season, and are also second in the league in major-penalty minutes with 54, behind the rock `em, sock `em Boston Bruins. Westgarth will replace Brad Richardson in a swap of fourth-line right wingers, and here’s what Terry Murray said about the change…
MURRAY: “Westgarth brings an element to the game that we think we have to have when we come on the road. Pittsburgh has got some heavy players. In the remaining part of the road trip, there are those kinds of teams, that play hard. The Flyers are going to have a hard team and a hard lineup, so we’ve got to make sure that our bases are covered in the important areas of the game.”
