It’s time to hit the road for the second leg of this road trip, games four through nine out of 10. Of course, during the first leg, the Kings were able to take five out of a possible six points. With two sets of back-to-back games this time around, the road gets tougher, but if nothing else, the Kings got a chance to rest up at home for a few days. Now, it’s a six-game road trip, still the longest of the season but not as daunting as 10 in a row. Here are Terry Murray’s thoughts on getting through the second leg of the trip after a 2-0-1 start…
MURRAY: “I would look at the first three games, at the start of this month, as a road trip that we came out of in good shape. We played very well at times, very competitive. It was a nice break, to come back, and now we’ve got the second leg of that. It keeps the short-term focus and narrows it down, and that’s a real good thing. … Momentum can carry over, sure. I liked our two days of practice. The players know what’s at stake here, what we have in front of us. It’s a fun challenge.”
