Scouting the Blue Jackets

This morning, I referenced the strife involving the Columbus Blue Jackets and veteran defenseman Mike Commodore, who was placed on waivers and published lashed out at coach Scott Arniel. The Columbus Dispatch reported today that Commodore has been sent back to Columbus and that the team “will continue to attempt to work out a trade.” Commodore did not play last night against Anaheim and wasn’t expected to play tonight. The paper also reported that goalie Steve Mason was not on the ice for this morning’s skate, making it highly likely that Mathieu Garon will start tonight.
