Wednesday skate update

Alexei Ponikarovsky is still having some swelling and discomfort, Terry Murray said, so he will not play tonight and the Kings will use the same lineup as in Monday’s game. As expected, Jonathan Quick will start tonight and Jonathan Bernier will start tomorrow night. Murray said Willie Mitchell skated for 30 minutes in L.A. today but Murray didn’t have an update on Mitchell’s timetable. More notes and quotes to come…
