Sunday practice update

Practice started a few minutes late today, and after it ended, Terry Murray indicated that he had put the players through a tough, critical film session. Murray said that he would keep the top three lines intact at the start of tomorrow’s game but indicated he would be open to making changes during the game.

The one lineup change might be on the fourth line. If John Zeiler clears waivers tomorrow morning, it’s highly possible that he will join the lineup, it seems. Kevin Westgarth said he would be able to play, despite suffering a possible broken nose in last night’s fight.

Jonathan Quick will start in goal against the Ducks, and both Willie Mitchell and Alexei Ponikarovsky did conditioning skating before today’s practice. More notes and quotes to come…
