The Kings took a 6-1 lead just after a power play expired 8:41 into the third period. Ryan Smyth made a nice centering pass to Andrei Loktionov, who scored from the slot. Anze Kopitar also got an assist, his third assist of the game.

The seventh goal came just 19 seconds later. Kyle Clifford passed to the right, to Wayne Simmonds, who shot from the middle of the right faceoff circle. Clifford went to the front of the net and got the tip-in. Davis Drewiske also got an assist.
