Goalie matchup

Jason LaBarbera is scheduled to start in goal for Phoenix tonight. The former Kings goalie has had a strong season in a limited role of Ilya Bryzgalov’s backup, with a 7-5-1 record, a 2.16 goals-against average and a .929 save percentage in 16 appearances. LaBarbera has allowed two or fewer goals in each of his last five starts, and this will be his first appearance in a regular-season game at Staples Center since the Kings traded him to Vancouver last season.
