Dustin Brown’s postgame thoughts…
(on the win…)
BROWN: “We had 60 minutes. That’s the first time we’ve had 60 minutes in a while. It was a huge win at a huge time in the season for us. The Islanders played a good game. It was a tight game. I think all the games, from here on out, are going to be like that. We just have to find that rhythm. We had four lines that were all doing smart plays. We didn’t have too many turnovers or mistakes. When we did, we had good support from the back side. Quicker was solid, so that was a huge help.”
(on getting two points when other West teams keep winning…)
BROWN: “Just getting two points from this game was huge. We needed a win. I think it’s important for us, as a group in here, to realize, though, that it’s just one game. We needed it bad, but it’s done and over now. It’s just kind of the same thing with the game against Chicago. It’s done and over, and we have to forget about it. We don’t have time to sit there and feel good about ourselves.”
