Jonathan Quick’s postgame thoughts…
(on the first 10 minutes…)
QUICK: “It was a little chaotic there. They came out hard, they came out flying, and we got a couple bounces there at the beginning. We were fortunate to have it 0-0 after that first 10 minutes. Then Greener scored a big goal, and I feel like that kind of deflated them and we didn’t look back after that. We played a great game from then on out.”
(on the early penalty kills…)
QUICK: “That’s huge. Those were two big kills. Some big blocks, some good clears, and we did a good job on the PK all night. It was a hard-fought two points, so it’s good to get under our belt.”
(on the goal from “noted goal-scorer Matt Greene…)
QUICK: “(laughs) Just a snipe. I don’t think any goalie in the league could have stopped that. But that’s how you know your team is playing well, when you’re getting goals from all parts of your team. Everyone is chipping in there, and it was a huge goal from Greener there.”
