Dustin Brown’s postgame thoughts…
(on his game…)
BROWN: “Obviously it’s a huge two points for us. We got out of the first. We didn’t play a great period, but it was 1-1. It was one of those things where these two points are bigger than we’ve had at any other point of the year. I just got in on the forecheck a couple times and turned over pucks, and when you do that, good things happen.”
(on Stoll’s goal…)
BROWN: “It was a weird play. He came from the top and I don’t think he [Wayne Primeau] saw me. I turned the puck over on him and expected to see at least one defenseman. The other four guys were already at the hashmarks or above. I took it from him and I was a little surprised to see nobody below the dots for them.”
(on his line’s play…)
BROWN: “It takes a little while to get used to it. Smytty is really good in his zone, but it takes a little while to get used to. He almost wants you to stay away from him for a little bit, for him to make his plays. It worked out tonight, obviously. It’s all about the two points, and we contributed to that today.”
