Dustin Brown’s postgame thoughts…

(on getting the lead back in the third period…)
BROWN: “They got that goal, I’m not sure how quickly, but we had a chance on the power play very soon after and Willie made a great play. That’s a huge goal. Tonight our special teams was really good, and I think it’s just a confidence level going into the third. We didn’t play well against Nashville, but it’s just a confidence level within the room.”

(on the relief after the third goal…)
BROWN: “Especially being on the power play, it was a huge opportunity and we capitalized on it. It was a big lift. I don’t know if it was a relief, but a big lift, and then we just built off of that momentum. We kind of sensed, on the bench, after we scored that goal that it took a lot of wind out of their sails.”

(on any pressure facing a team on a long losing streak…)
BROWN: “I mean, we were aware of it, but we put our own pressure on ourselves. We had a two-game skid and we didn’t play very well, so it was really just about getting back to playing well. I think we played really well in the first, and I don’t think we played bad in the second. I think they jacked up their intensity, and we needed to do a better job of matching it, but then we obviously came out with a good third.”
