Luc got his ring

Just got back from the ring ceremony/press conference at the Hockey Hall of Fame. All five inductees were introduced and received their Hall of Fame rings and did some Q&A with the media. I took about 50 pictures of various parts of the Hall and Kings-related stuff, and from Luc’s ceremony, including a close-up of the ring, and I did a video of Luc being introduced and receiving his ring. All of that stuff will be going up on the website shortly and I’ll embed/post links ASAP. I have a lot of stuff to transcribe and write today — including a nice chat with Luc’s father — so look for that soon. I’ll have two or three stories today, as the day progresses.

The Hall, by the way, is a very cool experience. Obviously with the ceremony going on today, some things are moved around a bit — for instance, the boxes of ricotta cheese in the replica Detroit locker room was…interesting — but it’s neat to see all the exhibits. My favorite was probably the goal and equipment used for Gretzky’s 802nd goal. I took pictures of it, so that you can see the setup. OK, back to work…
