Win one for the dads

It’s a high-profile game for the Kings tonight against Pittsburgh, and it’s also the end of the players’ week with their fathers in town. It officially started with a trip to Phoenix on Sunday, and tonight the dads will be in a Staples Center suite, cheering on their sons. Reporters today joked with Terry Murray that, if the Kings win tonight, the fathers might have to stay around…

MURRAY: “There’s always a little bit more of a dig-in from the players who have their dads here. Everybody wants to play well for their parents. If there is a good win out of this one, maybe we’ll extend it for a longer period of time. We don’t want to get people moving in with anybody, but…”
