The Kings failed on their first power play — they didn’t record a shot — then were unable to clear the zone on a Phoenix power play. Robert Lang spun and shot, and Jonathan Quick made the save, but the rebound bounced to Quick’s right, where Shane Doan, all alone, pounced on it for a goal 9:52 into the game.
