Doughty postgame quotes

Drew Doughty, after today’s game…

DOUGHTY: “I feel good. Today we had a great game. It was a good start to the road trip, winning in St. Louis and then coming through and winning this one as well. As long as we can continue to do the same things that we have in the past couple games, we should be good.”

(on whether he was playing in a lot of pain, after being struck in the face by a puck Saturday…)

DOUGHTY: “No, not at all. I feel fine. It’s not going to affect my game at all. I have to wear the bubble (shield) but that’s about it. It doesn’t affect my game. It’s just a couple bumps and bruises and that’s it.”

(on his third-period goal…)

DOUGHTY: “Our coaches really harp on that weak-side D jumping into the play. When Stolly turned up, I kind of saw that little gap and I kind of jumped in there and he made a great pass. I just fired as hard as I could and it went in.”
