The Ontario Reign have signed forward T.J. Hensick, the team officially announced on Wednesday although the news was previously reported earlier this month.
The 30-year-old Hensick split time last season in the AHL with Charlotte and Utica and registered 40 points (9-31=40) in 65 games. He’s a former MODO teammate of Reign forward Adrian Kempe from the 2013-14 season.

Hensick, a native of Howell, Michigan, adds to the Reign’s veteran presence. The team has already re-signed forwards Sean Backman, Paul Bissonnette and Brett Sutter this offseason.
A third round draft pick by the Avalanche in 2005, Hensick has appeared in 112 NHL games and over 500 AHL games. He’s also a two-time AHL All-Star (2008 and 2010). For more statistical info on his career, see below, courtesy of eliteprospects.com:
