Los Angeles Kings television color coordinator and Patiné vintner Jim Fox and winemaker Mike Smith are hosting a special dinner at the Lexus Club inside Staples Center prior to the game against San Jose on Tuesday, December 22. The details and wines to be sampled are below:

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 22, 5:45 PM
-Check in at 5:30 p.m., dinner starts promptly at 5:45
-Five course meal hand crafted to pair perfectly with each wine
-The event is limited to 40 attendees and few spots remain

-Attendees do not need to be Lexus Club members

2014 Ancillary Cellars, Chardonnay
Lemon zest, brioche and white sage combine with bright acidity. Notes of lemon pie, peach and a touch of passion fruit immediately come into play

Light to dark raspberry in the glass, aromas of dried rose petals, crushed bright cherries and mint

Bio

As the 11th overall pick in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, Kopitar became the first Slovenian to play in the NHL. Kopitar has spent his entire NHL career with the Kings, and following the 2015–16 season, was named the Kings’ captain. Noted for both his offensive and defensive play, Kopitar was awarded the Frank J. Selke Trophy as the best defensive forward in the NHL in 2016.

He’s won two Stanley Cup championships with the Kings, along with being the most recent goaltender to be awarded the Conn Smythe Trophy as the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the 2012 Stanley Cup playoffs.
