-The Kings held an optional morning skate in advance of three games in four days (err, three and three-quarter days), so no real line rushes took place. Jeff Carter, Anze Kopitar, Dustin Brown, Drew Doughty and Jonathan Quick took the option this morning. All other skaters were present and accounted for.
-Without the benefit of line rushes, it’s not possible to learn at this point where Jamie McBain will see the majority of his even strength time. When asked whether he knew who he might skate alongside, he answered “Not exactly yet, but we’ll see tonight. We’ll go from there. Doesn’t matter to me.”
-No players remained on the ice for extra work, so there’s no clear indication of tonight’s scratches and starting goaltender. With the Kings playing tomorrow as well, Martin Jones is likely to factor into the upcoming compressed schedule.
-The Ducks are making do without Corey Perry and Francois Beauchemin, who have been sidelined with a viral gland infection. Per Lance Pugmire of the LA Times, Frederik Anderson is expected to draw tonight’s start and the forward lines will be adjusted thusly:
Ducks' AM lines for Kings: Smith-Pelly-Getzlaf-Etem; Silfverberg-Kesler-Beleskey; Rakell-Karlsson-Cogliano; Jackman-Thompson-Maroon.

-Cam Fowler took part in line rushes and could also draw back in for Anaheim, per Eric Stephens of the OC Register.
