On clinching the three seed in the Pacific Division:
I think with the evolution of this team, four or five years ago this was a big deal, now this is just part of the process. It’s good to get it out of the way now. We need to use our remaining games to get our game in order. [Reporter: No champagne or party hats?] There is nothing to celebrate about making the playoffs. Like I said, that’s not a goal. It’s an expectation.
On the play in the third period:
It may be uncharacteristic for this team to blow third period leads. I think we’ve done it twice in the last couple weeks. Again, that’s what these last five games… are about. Getting our game honed in and getting ready for the types of games we can play in the playoffs.
On the remaining games in the regular season:
I don’t think you take your foot off the gas pedal by any means. These are games that statistically mean nothing for us. But like I said, it’s about getting our game in order and you can’t lollygag around the last five or six games and then just flip a switch and have your game where you want it to be for the first round, first game. That is our focus, getting ready for those games.
