Recapping the Kings’ draft picks

For those who might not have followed the draft live this morning, here’s a recap of the way things went for the Kings. They made five picks and made one trade, as they sent their sixth-round pick plus a 2012 third-round pick to Nashville in exchange for this year’s No. 82 overall pick (third round). Below is a list of the players the Kings drafted today. If you click on the player’s name, you’ll be taken to the post that has further information on each player.

Third round, No. 80: Andy Andreoff, center, Oshawa (OHL)
Third round, No. 82: Nick Shore, center, University of Denver
Fourth round, No. 110: Michael Mersch, University of Wisconsin
Fifth round, No. 140: Joel Lowry, Victoria (BCHL)
Seventh round, No. 200: Michael Schumacher, Frolunda HC (Sweden)
