Brayden Schenn is still around. Schenn remains at the eight-game mark, and the Kings have yet to make a decision about his long-term status with the team — whether to keep him or return him to junior — but Schenn made the trip to San Jose and remains the top candidate should Terry Murray feel the need to make a lineup change. Schenn had a high-profile practice Sunday, when he filled in for Dustin Brown on the first line, and Murray indicated that he might get Schenn into a game at some point…
MURRAY: “Quite candidly, we have talked quite a bit upstairs, the coaches, among ourselves. With players on the sidelines, having him here now is OK with me. He’s going to learn. He’s going to work hard. He’s going to watch NHL hockey games, and that certainly will have an impact on his development. It gets to a point where I might have to put him in. I’ll see how that goes. But right now, everything is OK. Until further notice from management, this is what we have. And that’s a good thing.”
