Jon Rosen is in his sixth season covering the Los Angeles Kings for LA Kings Insider and seventh season covering NHL hockey. A Los Angeles native who attended his first Kings game in November, 1986, Rosen was a broadcast journalist and color commentator with WOLV-TV at the University of Michigan between 1999-03 before moving on as a broadcasting intern with the Las Vegas 51s (Pacific Coast League, 2003-04) and continuing his radio play-by-play career with the High Desert Mavericks (California League, 2005-07) and Everett Silvertips (Western Hockey League, 2007-11). He returned to Los Angeles to serve as a digital and rinkside reporter with FOXSports.com and FOX Sports West between 2011-13. In addition to his work with LA Kings Insider and FOX Sports West, he is also an NHL Network correspondent covering the Kings and served as the Kings’ play by play radio broadcaster from January-April, 2016. Rosen has covered the Stanley Cup Final, Calder Cup Final, Frozen Four, NHL Premiere, Kraft Hockeyville Classic, NHL Draft, NHL Awards, and a game at Joe Louis Arena in which a puck that caromed off the mesh above Jonathan Quick before bouncing off the goaltender’s back and into the net was counted as a good goal.
