The Hurricanes held an optional morning skate and didn’t open their room, so in lieu of a Quick Hits segment, you’re stuck with us. Jesse Cohen hosted Joshua Cooper and me for a special Thursday Straight Up in which we talk goaltending, Jonathan Quick’s recovery, options in net for Los Angeles, scoring chances and other tidbits I’ve gleaned from the team before we turned our attention to the All-Star Game, which will turn Los Angeles into the focus of the hockey universe this weekend.
