On Jordan Nolan’s two goals:
It’s good to see him get rewarded. It’s a load off his back. He’s done a lot of things for our team. When he goes in the lineup, he’s won some battles, fought some battles for us this year, so it’s good to see guys like that get rewarded.
On how he and the team handled allowing a goal 15 seconds into the game:
Well, we were trying to kill two penalties in the first [minute]. Tyler hadn’t gotten a penalty all year, and he gets one at nine and one at 39 or whatever it is, so we were trying to kill penalties.
On the decision to put Jeff Zatkoff in the game to start the second period:
We’re trying to win a game, right? I have the right to control players’ ice time, so if I can control a goalie’s ice time, I’m going to do it.
On a “weird game”:
We’ve had a lot of games in here that are funny games over the years, and none of them are very pretty in here.
On Zatkoff’s performance:
I think he was the difference in the game. I think Kopi really stood out as the game went on. I thought he was a dominant player, and I think Zatkoff made some big, big saves for us.
