Insiders! It was a slow day today as the Kings took their first recovery day of the month and will get back on the ice Wednesday in advance of Thursday’s home stand opener against the Montreal Canadiens. Kris Versteeg will first meed with the media on Wednesday, too.

On the slow news day, Jesse Cohen, Jack Wilson and I got together to talk about the Kings’ acquisitions in advance of Monday’s Trade Deadline and this week’s Kings Weekly episode. Sam Fels of excellent Blackhawks blog The Committed Indian also dropped by to share a what-to-expect on Kris Versteeg. The entire pod is 35 minutes, 90 seconds of which I spend getting lectured by Jack after dropping a WHL reference. Pop it in on your commute home, Insiders, and let’s talk tomorrow.
