Audio: Quick hits with Aaron Ekblad

It doesn’t appear as though Willie Mitchell will play tonight – the defenseman is day-to-day with an upper-body injury, per Florida coach Gerard Gallant – so instead of catching up with the loquacious Kings alum, we got to know his houseguest, Aaron Ekblad. The first overall pick from the 2014 NHL Draft will turn 19 on Saturday and has etched out an impressive rookie season, totaling seven goals, 29 points and a plus-four rating in his first 49 NHL games. Having lived with the Mitchells throughout his rookie NHL season, the versatile defenseman spoke about the impact Willie has had early in his NHL career, amongst other topics.
