A good day to you from El Segundo, where the Kings morning skate has concluded and Darryl Sutter should be out shortly to chat with the media. I wish I had more substance for you from the Kings’ side, but having spent 45 minutes waiting in line to navigate the 405 south to the 105 west ramp and exit at Nash St., I arrived after line rushes took place. #bloggerproblems
Of note: Jonathan Quick left the ice first, so he’s likely to start in net. Martin Jones remained on the ice for extra work with Jamie McBain and Jordan Nolan, so they’re not likely to play. I’m skeptical the Kings will make any changes to the lines, though Curtis Zupke caught some adjustments. In any event, I’ll project the same lines as those that were used on Tuesday and will share on Twitter any potential changes After The Song.
From the Blues: Martin Brodeur will start in net in search of his 691st career win. He’s 2-1-0 with a 2.64 goals-against average and a .904 save percentage with St. Louis this season. T.J. Oshie is expected to return to the Blues’ lineup after missing a game due to personal reasons, though Jaden Schwartz will miss tonight’s game (and several more games) after suffering an injury Tuesday. He was placed on injured reserve, and Dmitrij Jaskin was recalled from AHL-Chicago.
