On the Kings being “bailed out” by Jonathan Quick:
I think our special teams won us the game.
On the importance of the two third period penalty kills:
Obviously big. I mean, as I said, it’s the penalty kill and the power play that’s the difference in the hockey game.
On how concerned he is over the shot on goal disparity over the last two game:
Oh, I wish our guys who keep shots would give us a few more. [Reporter: How much of that is missing Gaborik and Muzzin, do you think?] And Lewis.
On whether the Kings benefited from “being in the right place at the right time” or “good goals”:
Our goals, yeah, they’re good goals. I don’t think you’re in the right place at the right time, and you don’t call them ‘bad goals.’
On what he’d like to see during the upcoming break in the schedule:
We’ll have a couple good practices. Hopefully we can get some banged up guys who are playing healthy, and hopefully we can get banged up guys who aren’t playing healthy.
On winning four in a row at home:
Well, I know if we would’ve lost one of ‘em it would be a calamity.
