After practice today, Terry Murray said that Jeff Halpern and Scott Parse would go into the lineup tomorrow and that Rich Clune and Raitis Ivanans would come out. Murray said he wanted to make sure that all of his players were “game ready” before the playoffs.
Also, Jonathan Quick will start in goal for the Kings tomorrow, and Murray wouldn’t commit to a goalie for Sunday’s game at Colorado.
“I’ve been thinking all along, for the last month or so, that I would put Ersberg in that final game,” Murray said. “But I’m just planning for tomorrow now, and Quick is the goaltender.”
Quick has been stuck on 39 wins since March 22, and Murray said he considers it important for Quick to get a win going into the playoffs…
MURRAY: “I think so. I feel that. I think he’s been focused on that number 40 for a while, and I think it would be important for him to get there. His game is good. Again, I liked a lot of the things that I’m seeing in his play last night. If we can just batten down the hatches a little tighter at the end of the game, we’ll get it for him.”
