In addition to clinching at least a tie for the William M. Jennings Trophy, the Los Angeles chapter of the Professional Hockey Writers Association nominated Willie Mitchell for the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy (perseverance, sportsmanship, and dedication to hockey) and, along with the NHL Broadcasters Association, nominated Jarret Stoll for the King Clancy Memorial Trophy (leadership qualities on and off the ice and a noteworthy humanitarian contribution in his community).
