On the Kings’ third period pressure, and whether he sensed that they’d come back:
I think we had a really good second period. They scored on probably the one chance they had in the second. We were pretty determined that we were coming back.
On the non-call on Mike Richards’ empty net attempt:
It’s an automatic goal. He impeded on an empty net. It’s an automatic goal. That’s the rule.
On the team getting more comfortable in all situations:
We were not as sharp as we were early, took a couple penalties, and we know their power play, and they scored on ‘em. We just kind of hung in there.
On whether he was happy with the Kings’ adjustments:
Well, not in the first period. Obviously I think that we weren’t as sharp as we’d like to be in the first, and then I think when Backstrom went out, that made obviously a difference in their game in terms of how they used the bench similar to how we were a couple games ago when we lost Brown.
On Dustin Brown’s performance:
Jeez, I thought he was pretty good.
On coming from behind and winning a second consecutive game in a tough building:
Lots of guys haven’t played in these buildings yet, so it was kind of interesting to see. Quite honest, this building has a lot of energy to it. It’s a good building to come into. So hopefully our guys can continue like that. Last night hang in there and tonight hang in there and find ways to get points.
