The Kings will host the Minnesota Wild (7:30 p.m. / FOX Sports West / KEIB 1150 AM) in the teams’ first meeting since Los Angeles’ 3-2 shootout win at the Xcel Energy Center in the season opener on October 3.
The line rushes from this morning’s skate:
King – Kopitar – Carter
Brown – Stoll – Williams
Frattin – Richards – Toffoli
Clifford – Lewis – Nolan
Pearson-Fraser
Muzzin – Doughty
Mitchell – Voynov
Regehr – Martinez
Greene
Quick
Scrivens
-Tanner Pearson, Colin Fraser and Matt Greene remained on the ice for extra work with Ben Scrivens, which is a likely indication that Pearson, Fraser and Greene will be scratched, while Jonathan Quick will start.
-Jarret Stoll and Mike Richards flipped spots again. Though the Vancouver game three nights ago began with Richards skating with Dustin Brown and Justin Williams and Stoll skating with Matt Frattin and Tyler Toffoli, by the third period several shifts featured combinations of Richards-Kopitar-Carter in addition to the Frattin-Richards-Toffoli and Brown-Stoll-Williams alignments listed above.
-Jonathan Quick left the ice first; he’s your projected starter.
