Jonathan Quick’s postgame thoughts…
(on how tired he was…)
QUICK: “You know, I felt good. I don’t think I was exhausted or anything. It was a good amount of work over this road trip here, but not at any point today was I thinking that it was too much or that I’m exhausted. I felt great every game, the team played great every game and we were able to have an extremely successful road trip here. We just have to continue this momentum when we go back home now.”
(on whether he asked to start, or if it was Terry Murray’s idea…)
QUICK: “After the game last night, he asked me how I felt. I said, `Good.’ He said, `You’re playing tomorrow.’ I just prepared.”
(on whether he enjoys playing a lot…)
QUICK: “I enjoy playing. You practice every day with your team, you battle with your team, so when it comes to game time, you want to be out there and you want to be in net. I’m not going to turn down a game if I feel good.”
(on beating top Eastern teams…)
QUICK: “Just beating good teams builds character, especially coming back the way we did these past two nights, coming from a deficit, 2-0, 2-1. It just builds character, and we’re going to need a lot if we plan on doing well in the playoffs.”
(on the Kings’ ability to rally…)
QUICK: “When you’re down two in the second, you don’t feel like you’re out of the game. Quite a few times, we’ve come back from two-goal deficits, and we’ve had extremely successful third periods. So there’s not a doubt in anyone’s mind on the bench. We know that if we stick to doing the little things correctly, we’ll catch a bounce here or there, like we did tonight.”
