Postgame Notes: Nashville 2, Los Angeles 1 (SO)

*After opening a 3-0 shot advantage over Los Angeles, Nashville was held without a shot on goal over the final 16:19 of the first period and was outshot 10-3 after 20 minutes.

*The Kings allowed 14 shots on goal Thursday, 11 through regulation. The franchise record for fewest shots on goal allowed in a game is 10, set January 11, 1994 at San Jose. In that game, Kelly Hrudey stopped eight of 10 shots, while Arturs Irbe stopped 37 of 39 Los Angeles shots in a 2-2 tie.

*The Kings are now 47-38 all-time in shootouts. Jonathan Quick has a 29-16 lifetime record in shootouts.

*Thursday’s shootout went eight rounds.  The franchise record is 10 rounds, set in a 3-2 loss to Edmonton on Feb. 11, 2010.

*Los Angeles will return to Toyota Sports Center for an 11 am practice on Friday.

*The next game is in Anaheim on Saturday, February 2 at 7:00 pm. It will be broadcast on FOX Sports West and KTLK 1150 AM.
