Some notes from last night’s game…

— The Kings won another road playoff game, as they beat the Phoenix Coyotes 4-0 on Sunday night at Jobing.com Arena in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals. The Kings lead 2-0 in the best-of-seven series.

— The Kings are now 7-0 on the road in this postseason. The seven consecutive road wins in one postseason is a franchise record. The Kings have tied an NHL record with seven straight road wins in one playoff year (last done by Chicago in 2010). The Kings have tied an NHL record starting the playoffs 7-0 on the road (last done by Colorado in 1999). The Kings have tied an NHL record with nine consecutive road playoff wins, not necessarily in one year. The New York Islanders won nine consecutive road games in 1982 and 1983.

— The Kings outshot the Coyotes 40-24, including 17-8 in the second period.

— The Kings went 2-for-8 on the power play and 4-for-4 on the penalty kill. In 11 playoff games, the Kings have scored six power-play goals and allowed three power-play goals.

— Jonathan Quick recorded his second shutout of this postseason and his third career playoff shutout. Quick has tied Felix Potvin’s franchise record for most shutouts in one playoff year — Potvin did it in 2001 — and for career playoff shutouts.

— Jeff Carter had three goals, including two on the power play, to push his playoff totals to four goals and three assists. Carter’s hat trick was the 10th in Kings playoff history, and the first since Wayne Gretzky on May 29, 1993, in Game 7 of the Campbell Conference Finals against Toronto. In 58 career playoff games, Carter has 17 goals and 11 assists.

— Dwight King had one goal, his fourth goal and fourth point of the playoffs. King leads all rookies in this postseason with four goals.

— Anze Kopitar had two assists, both on the power play, to push his playoff totals to nine assists and 13 points. Kopitar has recorded at least one point in five consecutive games, with three goals and six assists in that span. In 17 career playoff games, Kopitar has six goals and 12 assists.

— Drew Doughty had one assist, his seventh assist and eighth point of the playoffs. Doughty has recorded at least one point in four consecutive games, with one goal and five assists in that span. In 23 career playoff games, Doughty has six goals and 13 assists.
