As noted earlier, Davis Drewiske didn’t do much extra skating this morning, and came off the ice roughly at the same time as the regular lineup players. That could indicate a game-time decision for the defensemen, but Darryl Sutter did his best to throw cold water on that, correctly pointing out that the Kings have regularly used extra players in warmups in recent games. It’s a fairly safe bet that Matt Greene will be in the lineup, as he hasn’t missed a game yet. Greene ranks second among NHL defensemen in hits with 147, four behind Toronto’s Luke Schenn. (Dustin Brown is third overall in the league, with 166.) Sutter said he’s pleased with the type of physical presence Greene has brought.
SUTTER: “That’s his biggest asset. He has to play that game. And to do it without taking penalties, he’s done a good job of it.’’
